Farington lodge is an early Georgian House, which has been tastefully extended to include the Jubilee and Balmoral Suites and twenty seven bedrooms and is sited in magnificent landscaped gardens and enchanting woodland.
Farington Lodge is ideal for both small and large wedding parties and anything in between. The garden room has recently been refurbished and provides quite an intimate atmosphere during civil ceremonies, even with quite a large wedding party.
The staff are very accommodating, and wish nothing more than for the bride and groom to have the best experience imaginable. If the weather isn’t a best as it could be, a quick turnaround of the ceremony room, and group shots can be catered for in the warm and dry.
But if the day is dry, the grounds provide a superb backdrop for your wedding photography at Farington Lodge.
The rooms for the wedding breakfast can be dressed to your taste, and can transform the appearance. I’ve been surprised at just how different the room can look, and again, large groups can easily be catered for.
Same room, different look.
There’s also a rather nice bar area that has a very relaxed atmosphere to it, and is far enough from the evening reception for those who prefer peace and quiet to be able to relax.
I utilise the grounds rather extensively for the informal portrait session, which takes place during the natural break between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. As a photographer, I find this the most enjoyable part of the day, as I have the opportunity to create images that are unique to the couple.
Always nice to give the something a little bit different. Farington Lodge provides a lot of opportunities for creative wedding photography.
We are also not dependant on the weather either. This lovely snow scene was taken towards the end of March.
The large rooms provide ample space for the evening reception, and the hotel can provide details of their preferred suppliers.
